Erin Jackson

Erin has been around members of the department going back to 2008. He took every opportunity available to stay the night at the old central station off of Comstock Ave. During the day, he would help the team clean the rigs, roll up hoses, and generally help in any way he possibly could.

He was sponsored by the department and got into Kalamazoo County Fire Chief’s Fire Academy and graduated in 2014. He also took the advanced MFR 2-week course through KDPS.

Erin’s journey was inspired primarily by his parents. His mom was an EMT Specialist and Pediatric Nurse while his dad was an EMT and Medic in the Army for over 40-years.

His approach to serving the community is through spreading a positive outlook in all his interactions; whether that be during basketball with the neighborhood kids or interacting with new parents during car seat checks.

While off-duty, Erin spends his time fishing, creating content for his YouTube Channel, skateboarding, and enjoying the outdoors!
