Standing on the same historic site that was home to Comstock’s Central Station for 60 years (1950-2010), the Comstock Township Firefighter’s Memorial is a tribute to, and reminder of, the service and sacrifice made by members of the Comstock Township Fire Department—past and present. For nearly 100 years, they have bravely served their community with honor, dignity and devotion.
Phase 1 of construction has been complete, and the memorial site currently features a walkway, memorial rock, and flagpole. This is only the beginning, however. Phase 2 of construction is underway, with plans to build a memorial wall and mural, erect a bronze statue, and improve landscaping around the site.
