The Michigan Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) is a Michigan statute that went into effect on April 13, 1977. It grants citizens public access to certain public records of public agencies.

FOIA requests for the fire department are handled by the Charter Township of Comstock. To ease the filing of FOIA requests, Comstock Township has provided all necessary information and forms needed to submit a formal FOIA request on their website. You may also contact the township by phone at (269) 381-2360 or by stopping by their office, located at 6138 King Highway, during business hours.
